Many Spanish women devoted their entire adult lives to raising children and running the household - work that is vital but unpaid. Now, some of them may be eligible for a benefit of €7,900 per year. This is designed to be a lifeline for women who are truly in need, so to qualify the applicants must meet four key conditions: Be 65 or older, lived in Spain for at least 10 years, are not receiving any other form of pension (retirement, disability, etc.), have income of less than €7,905.80 per year. If they are living with family members who earn money, then the income exclusion amount is higher.
