Shannon used her phone to find out where she was, and to send a message to a local Facebook group asking for help, with a pin of her location. Mr Bouvier heard about the woman who was stranded, and he immediately went to find her. As he hiked through the blizzard, he found not only Ms St. Onge, but three other cars that were stranded. In each case the car followed him back to his house as he walked in front. He did this for all four cars - walking a total of over four kilometres back and forth through the storm. That night all of the survivors stayed at Mr Bouvier’s house where they ate, laughed and got a good night’s sleep. The next morning the storm had abated, and they happily departed. Mr Bouvier was very modest about being called a hero saying, “Anyone would have done the same.”
