In the centre of Santa Eulalia there is an oasis of healing that offers all that you could ask for… plus much more. You enter Lighthouse Ibiza from a bustling shopping street and suddenly you are in a completely different world of tasteful tranquillity. Every corner has been carefully designed to create a feeling of peaceful relaxation. Leaving the reception area you come to a large multi-purpose room that is perfect for yoga, other classes, workshops, trainings or lectures. This space can be rented by practitioners, as can the private treatment room. Finally we arrive at the “Piece de Resistance” - a large space that abounds with comfortable cushions and pillows. The walls are alive with a continuous light show that is nothing like anything you have ever seen before. This is the area dedicated to the “Energy Enhancement System” (EES), a remarkable new process that Lighthouse has brought to Ibiza. It will be described in detail below, but first let’s get acquainted with Yamuna and Barbara, the two lovely women who have created this special place.

 

Yamuna is an American who has long been prominent in the world of wellness, and has created several original health modalities. She is the author of three books on these subjects, and has travelled the world to teach and train people in how to apply her work. Yamuna’s connection to Ibiza is strong, as she has been living here part time for many years. Now with the opening of Lighthouse she will be based on the island. Barbara is from Berlin where she left a very successful career to find a new life on Ibiza in the 80’s. She lived here until 1998, and then joined the Dalai Lama on a three year Peace Walk, before moving to California. Since 2016 Barbara has been back living on Ibiza, and she brings to Lighthouse a wealth of experience in numerous healing modalities. These two dynamic women have created a wonderful space to introduce EES to Ibiza, so what is it?

 

Imagine that you are lying down comfortably in a room where colourful screens from every corner are emitting frequencies of light that you can feel in your body. It is an experience that has helped to promote health, wellness, relaxation, purification, and rejuvenation for many people. This system is completely new to Ibiza, but it has been used throughout the US and other countries for several years by doctors, therapists and wellness centres. The reputation of EES is growing within the wellness community, but Yamuna came to it in a much more personal way. Her daughter was seriously injured in a car accident, and EES was instrumental in bringing her back to complete health. This was the validation that inspired Yamuna and Barbara to introduce this unique therapeutic experience to their beloved island of Ibiza. 

 

EES uses special computers to generate multiple bioactive energy fields that flow through the colourful screens. They are designed to stimulate the cells in your body in a way that is completely safe and effective. Numerous studies and testimonials assert that EES has shown a beneficial effect on circulation, the immune system, relief of pain, increased energy, general well-being and more. The technology is complex, as it includes several esoteric concepts including “scalar waves” - sometimes known as “Tesla waves”. But you don’t have to understand these concepts to benefit from EES. Just lie back, relax, and see what it does for you. I tried a session so that I could experience what I was writing about. The comfortable atmosphere instantly relaxed my mind and body. I lay there making mental notes on how to describe what I was feeling, and eventually drifted off into a semi-conscious state that was delightful. After about an hour I felt fully awake with a calm sense of presence. It’s a feeling that I highly recommend, and it is easy to understand how this could translate into the healing powers that many say they have experienced with EES.
