Why does Ibiza attract so many people?
The freedom is part of the magic of the isle. You breathe, you feel the tranquility. The untouched nature, the beaches... the biodiversity.

What prejudgements do you notice about Ibiza?
This image of parties and drugs. This is what I don’t like. And it isn’t true either.

What would you do if you were the mayor of Ibiza?
Take care of and protect the virgin zones of the island. Protect Ibizas biodiversity, the animals, foster a more family oriented tour-ism. Give more incentives to the people here in order to learn English. Revive and protect the cultural traditions, the local folkdance, the regional culture.

Ibiza changed a lot... how?
I can only tell you from what I was told about the hippie years... since I am 21 years old. Back then, it was the life of peasants. The peasants got together. In order to dance the local folkdance, to do their fiestas... everything was much more in a family
scheme... Now the things are changing. Immigrant people have come – they need to adapt and see the inter-cultural mixture. It is a different way of life. The times are chang-ing, but that does not mean it needs to be for the worse.

What brought you to Ibiza?
Barcelona’s constant growth and expansion finally ended up in our backyard. Too much noise, traffic and inconvenience in our lives. We decided to look for another place to live.

Do you think Ibiza has changed for the better?

I don’t think that Ibiza has changed so much. Only the amount of buildings has changed. Ibiza should focus on long term structuring and making everything more ecological instead of just constructing concrete blocks for people to stay.

What would you change if you were the mayor of Ibiza?

I would save the taxpayer money by running the island as one political entity and not as 5 seperate communities. I would focus Ibiza’s international marketing and promotion on its importance as a historical European island. Locally I would promote ecological building and organic food.

Why does Ibiza attract many people from many different places?
A combination of the island’s beauty and the interesting people residing here. The local residents are very nice and often spiritually aware. Ibiza’s consciousness attracts the light.

Why are you here?
The music’s here. I knew I had to come here. It was a calling… The magic of the isle and the energy is what you feel. It definitely allured me. When I decided to live off making music I knew that I belonged here. Thank God I found the courage to do so. Ibiza’s magic is hard to describe but you can sense it. They can build as many motorways and buildings as they like. The magic stays!

Supposing you were the mayor of Ibiza what would you do?
There are people who’d think they can turn Ibiza into something it simply was never meant to be. Ibiza is an island that lives off the people, the parties and the tourists. You just can’t create a second Mallorca out of this. Ibiza should protect and enhance what it’s got: the magic, the music and the inter-cultural mixture.

Which are your favorite months in Ibiza?
May and June are my favorite months. There is an incredible atmosphere of starting over.

Tanit is said to be the protective goddess of Ibiza…
My stage name is Miss Luna. Tanit is a lunar goddess. I live a lot by the moon. Just as this island. I guess that’s why it comes natural to me.
